Resources for Home Learning
Welcome to the New Year 2021 practice resources page for Cambridge and Leith Hill Timeline Choirs. During the Coronavirus lockdown, Claire and Stef are collaborating to bring you a selection of folk songs and uplifting music to help us stay positive in troubling times! As always, new resources will be added after each choir rehearsal. The theme this term is Singing the Seasons. We’ll move from beautiful winter songs to lift the spirits in the dark months, to joyful spring songs to celebrate the warmer weather and (hopefully) being together again soon…
We’re doing our best to choose songs that are well suited to singing at home (no high soprano parts, for example!), with singable individual parts, and beautiful words to keep us connected and inspired.

Here is a new warm-up video for you to use at home to help you get ready to sing. I am using some of the techniques and exercises I learnt from Katy Thomson recently through Sing For Pleasure training.
Here’s a lovely piece of gregorian chant for Lent… Cambridge will be singing one verse per week for the rest of term (Leith Hillers, you can join in in your own time with this video):
