Join Cambridge Timeline Choir for a three-week festive carol course, culminating in an atmospheric carol singing session at St Barnabas as part of Cambridge’s Mill Road Winter Fair celebration. Come and sing away those winter blues as we take you on a mulled-wine infused journey through time, discovering the amazing stories behind some of Britain’s best-loved (and a few unjustly neglected) carols, including a little-known local folk carol from the fens. This is a rare opportunity to really focus on those favourite choral carol arrangements that all choirs like to sing, but rarely have time to practise properly – we will drill those harmonies and descants until you can sing them in your sleep!
The three-week course begins on Thursday 16th November and takes place from 7:30–9:15pm in the Old School Room, St Barnabas Church, Mill Road, CB1 2BD.
No sight reading or prior experience are required to participate but if you like to see the dots, please get yourselves a copy of the Oxford University Press Carols for Choirs Book 1.
A course of three weeks singing and the opportunity to sing in the final performance for just £15! Bargain!
